Multiple open positions for Aerial Robotics

My group in the Rainbow team at Inria/IRISA Rennes, France (https://team.inria.fr/rainbow/) has multiple open positions addressing the new challenges of Aerial Physical Interaction. Or mission is to conceive the new generation of Aerial Manipulators able to perform in-air complex manipulation tasks in real environments.

== PhD positions ==
We have 3 PhD positions on the following topics:
1) Full-Body Design and Control of an Aerial Manipulator for Advance Physical Interaction
2) Aerial Robots with the Sense of Touch
3) Sensors-based Control of an Aerial Manipulator for Complex Manipulation of Articulated Objects

== Master Thesis ==
We have 4 Master Thesis positions on the following topics:
1) Full-body Design and Control of an Aerial Manipulator 
2) Energy-aware collaborative transportation and manipulation with multi-drone systems 
3) Collaborative Articulated-Object Manipulation with Multi-drone Systems
4) MPC-based control of a cable-suspended load using multiple UAVs for dynamic motions

- The work will be carried in the Rainbow team at the Inria Rennes Bretagne Atlantique research center.
- The Ph.D. position is full-time for 3 years (standard duration in France). The position will be paid according to the French salary regulations for PhD students.

- We often collaborate with other top researchers in europe and worldwide.
- You will have access to a well established laboratory including:
    - two flying arenas equipped with motion tracking system, several quadrotors, and a few fully-actuated manipulators,
    - one robotic manipulation lab equipped with several robotic arms, like the Franka Emika Panda.
- You will be part of an international and friendly team. We organize several events, from after works, to multi-day lab retreat.
- Regular visits and talks by internationally known researchers from top research labs.
